Ange Postecoglou wins Manager of the Year

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has been crowned William Hill SFWA Manager of the Year for season 2022/23.

The Celtic boss was the front-runner in a four-man shortlist that also included Premiership counterparts Barry Robson and Stephen Robinson, of Aberdeen and St Mirren respectively, and Dunfermline gaffer James McPake.

Postecoglou retains the prize that he won during his first campaign at Parkhead after leading Celtic to within 90 minutes of the domestic Treble.

Victory over Rangers in the Viaplay Cup final gave Postecoglou the third medal of his time in Scotland and he quickly followed up that success by clinching the Premiership title thanks to a remarkable run of form in the top flight.

Another Old Firm victory in the Scottish Cup semi-finals has set up a meeting with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and the 57-year-old now stands on the brink of history at Hampden next weekend.

William Hill’s Head of Sponsorship, Media & PR Daryl West said “On behalf of everyone at William Hill we’d like to congratulate Ange Postecoglou on winning the SFWA Manager of the Year award for a second year in a row.

“After another emphatic season, Ange is undoubtedly writing himself into the rich history books of Celtic Football Club. It’s an honour for everyone at William Hill to be associated with such a deserved winner of this prestigious award.”
