It's The Sun Wot Won It
Robert Grieve retained his SFWA golf title with a narrow win over Scottish Sun colleague Ben Ramage at Crieff Golf Club.
Robert lifted the title at Gourock GC last year. And he had another reason to celebrate after posting a fine score of 38 Stableford points on a day that was enjoyed by members and guests.
Ben had to settle for the silver medal for the second time in 12 months after his score of 36 points. John Docherty was a further two behind to claim third place.
The guest spoils went to Andrew Jamieson of sponsors William Hill. Andrew also collected the prize for the closest to the pin for his tee shot on the 17th hole.
Iain Macfarlane - the winner of our October outing at Auchterarder GC - took home the longest drive after beating the field with a fine effort on the 7th.
We would like to extend our thanks to all the staff at Crieff GC for their assistance in organising a thoroughly enjoyable day. The course was in excellent condition and the hospitality was appreciated by all.
