The SFWA will host its 54th annual awards night, in association with William Hill, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 36 Cambridge Street, Glasgow on Sunday May 13 2018.

Please come along and enjoy the evening’s entertainment in the company of President Stephen Halliday, our Player of the Year and other winners. 

This year we are pleased to welcome Tony Blair’s former communications director – and ardent Burnley fan – Alastair Campbell as our guest speaker along with after-dinner favourite Bill Copeland.  

A sumptuous four-course meal will be served from 7pm, after which the awards ceremony will commence. Dress code for the evening is lounge suit.

We hope as many members as possible are able take a table but at the very least it would be great if you could join us on the night. To facilitate this we are setting aside a couple of tables for members, past and present, who might only wish to bring themselves and perhaps a guest or two. 

Thanks to our generous sponsors the cost of a ticket is just £25 (which includes a half bottle of wine). A table of ten costs £250. 

Payment can be made online (account number: 06046454, sort code: 80-11-80) or via cheque (made payable to SFWA and enclosed with guest list). Could those paying online please ensure their own name is on any transaction.

A special room rate has been secured with the DoubleTree by Hilton of £90 B&B for single occupancy and £100 B&B for twin/double occupancy. Please contact the hotel on 0141 332 3311 to book your room. Car parking will be free to all our guests on the evening.

Please note the media award this year is being chosen by the SFWA committee based on nominations. More details regarding this will be circulated via email.
