2021 awards dinner now cancelled

WITH some inevitability it will come as no surprise that the 2021 awards dinner has had to be cancelled.

After our initial date in May was postponed, we looked at the possibility of holding it in July instead, hoping that there would be scope to honour our winners at our gala event.

However, after consultation with the hotel, we felt that even with Level 1 or 0 Covid restrictions in Glasgow, the event would not be what we have become accustomed to over the years.

So regrettably we had to call it off for the second year in a row. However, we are already speaking to the Doubletree Hotel by Hilton about a date for next year when hopefully things will be back to normal.

And after everything we've been through, the committee will endeavour to make the 2022 dinner a memorable one.
